Some storage needs

Filed under: Configuration and space ideas — by accessahut @ 5:08 pm

We need customized storage for our medicines.

We need customized storage for art supplies. Many of my supplies can go into drawers and containers, but I do have some oversized stuff, such as papers and canvases. Perhaps the shelving over my desk can have a place for rolls of rice paper. If we do a loft for storage, canvases could live there.

This may sound silly, but we have a young cat that is fascinated by water. We need a way to put our water cups by our beds so that they won’t spill. I still use those awesome hospital jugs with lids, though the straws are disappearing and hard to clean.

Deena has arthritis in all her joints, so opening things is difficult. I think she may already have posted on this, but we need not to have lots of doors and drawers for her to open, since this causes pain. We may end up having everything be open, or maybe we can come up with lightweight shoji screens or some such thing to make the place look less cluttered.

  1. Keep your eyes on this page for adult sippy cups:

Thor and I use the glass bottle with cup for a lid – its a European thing that I like. I set it up for all my guests too. Problem is it is breakable. Looking for a plastic one….

check out Tupperware’s enclosed pitchers and cups too.
