Doors and drawers

I think Deena has already commented about how her bone tumors and arthritis make it hard and painful for her to open cupboard doors and drawers.

I’m wondering whether arthritis organizations would have solutions? We’ll need to check this out once the cold bug leaves the household and we each have a bit of energy again.

  1. There are electric options you can install that allow things to open with a press of a button.

Is the issue with opening have to do with the hardness of opening a drawer/door? Or is it something else?
With today’s designs, opening doors and drawers becomes easier. My mother-in-law’s kitchen is much more accessable that way than mine. Her drawers are on rollers which make sliding out a breeze as opposed to the old-fashioned way of installing drawers.
