Lofts add to the heating bills…

Filed under: Configuration and space ideas,Uncategorized — by accessahut @ 10:36 pm

But what if we shut up the loft?  We were thinking about doing a loft more for storage (I have an old electronic lit work that only works on old macs, we have papers and books, etc.).  What if we did the loft and then built a door–so it is closed and the heat doesn’t get up there.

  1. Doors and localised heater thermostats/boilers work well. Then you only turn on the rooms that you need. If you know you are going to the loft, turn on that thermostat and go into the room after 15 -20 minutes when it’s had a chance to warm up.
