Reflections after a year

Filed under: Uncategorized — by accessahut @ 7:09 am

Now it has been a year and several weeks.  I have updated the photos on the right so you can see the house tour.

I have loved this house.  I see my love, MaJe’s paintings on the wall and ceiling and feel her warmth here.  The place is home. It is a place to *be*.

My only regret is that MaJe is not here, and that she did not get any time in the house–that the end of her life was so traumatized by the construction hell we went through.

In this entire year, I have NOT been:

  •  Frustrated with how small the house was (except once when I had a friend over to prepare for a journey and had also  invited a few other friends to meet her).  Bad planning.
  • Overwhelmed by too much to clean (even after being so sick for a few months that the cat stuck to the tile floor in places)
  • Too tired to go ALL THE WAY to the bathroom, kitchen, etc.
